Louise has been operating Paw Bearers since 2011. She lives in Canberra and has many furkids. Having worked in the animal industry for over 20 years, Louise understands that your pet is part of your family and deserves to be treated with the same respect and care that our human family does at the end of their days.

Before 2011, there wasn't a local pet cremation service available in Canberra and pets were transported to Sydney to be cremated. Many pet owners didn't like the idea of sending their loved companions so far away to be cremated, so Louise imported a state of the art crematorium from America.

This crematorium is situated in Queanbeyan, just on the boarder with Canberra.

And Paw Bearers was born.

If you choose a private cremation, your pet is the only pet in the cremation chamber. However, a lot of people don't have the budget for this. If you don't choose a private cremation you can be completely assured that your pet's ashes are the ashes that are returned to you. Louise practises strict quality control over the placement of pets in the chamber so you can have peace of mind.

It is comforting to know that your pet can be remembered and cared for in death just as we would care for a human loved one who has passed away.

Not many of us are prepared for the death of our pet, whether it is sudden or the result of sickness or disease.

Louise is available to support you at the vet for that terrible final visit if needed and with as much notice as you can give.
